Bar Keepers Friend

I would say I have had many friends in my life.  Some stick around longer than others, but one that has stuck with me through the years is "Bar Keepers Friend".  I can't live without this 'friend' who sure can brighten my day!

If you have never used Bar Keepers Friend, you are going to want to give it a try.  I've never regretted it.
This product removes rust, stains, and tarnish.  It cleans and polishes stainless steel, glass-ceramic cooktops, fiberglass bathing fixtures, sinks, bathtubs, copper, brass, porcelain, chrome, plastic dishes, tile floors and marble sills.

As with any product you have never used, be sure to read the instructions/cautions carefully.  Also, know what products you can and can not use on your household items.  Use the wrong thing and you could destroy something valuable to you.

I have a skillet that gets used all the time to brown meat and many other things.  Sometimes it just doesn't get as clean as I would like it to after a normal washing.

Enter stage right, Bar Keepers Friend:

Just a little bit of scrubbing.  Seriously, I think maybe it was under a minute.  See the difference?  I've seen pans a lot worse than mine and even with a little bit of soaking they can look like new again.

And this pan is probably the 2nd most used pan in the kitchen:

I {love} shiny, and this just makes me smile!

Cozi: Family Life Simplified

Friends and family would agree when I say I am known for my organization.  I have tried many different systems, some have worked, others have not.  Here is one that I ABSOLUTELY love and actually use.  It is called COZI.  Check out their site HERE.

This site has pretty much everything you might need all in one place:  Family Calendar, Shopping Lists, To Do Lists, Family Journal, Meals, etc.  You can use one or all of the available features.  It's FREE, so why not give them a try and see how it works for your family!

Update Note:  I created a family member named 'Celebrations'.  This way I could put birthday's and anniversaries on the calendar and have them identified by their own color, as well as have them repeat every year, so I don't have to remember it.  When babies are born or people get married I just go in and enter it right away and it will always be there to remind me.
